SME Industrial Decarbonisation Fund
- Purpose: Helps small-to-medium sized Australian manufacturers reduce their direct greenhouse gas emissions by switching from fossil fuel powered processes to electric alternatives
- Funding for: Projects covering renewable energy assessments, employee training and certification, power supply upgrades, regulatory compliance for facility upgrades, and capital equipment enabling a transition from fossil fuel to electrification, including surface treatment, process steam and metals processing applications
- Eligibility: Eligible Australian-incorporated SMEs (up to 200 employees) with an ACN and ABN, non-tax-exempt and registered for GST, able to meet a co-investment of at least 50% (cash) of the project’s total eligible cost. See the merit criteria for full eligibility requirements
- Funding amount: Grants ranging from $400,000 to $1,000,000 per project
- Deadline: 31 December 2027
